Today just felt like one of those days that I long for — climb in the old C10, fire it up, and point it down a two-lane Arkansas highway. Honestly, that’s about the best therapy I can think of.
I headed out early this morning toward Almond, Arkansas — and if you don’t know where that is, you’re not alone. It sits up on Highway 25 North between Concord and Locust Grove, tucked away in some beautiful Arkansas countryside that was worth the drive all by itself.
Sparky’s Garage Show & Shop
I love this little show.
The Sparks brothers do a great job with it, and you can tell they put it on simply because they enjoy giving back to the hobby and the community. There’s no charge for the car show or the swap meet. Really, the only money you need to spend is the gas to get there, maybe a burger from the food truck, or a few dollars in the swap meet if you find something you can’t live without.
They’ve got an awesome setup on their property for hosting the event, and it sounds like they already have plans to clear even more space for future growth. Both the car show and swap meet have plenty of room to keep expanding.
I’d guess there were close to 100 vehicles and somewhere around 20 vendors there today, which is solid for a small-town backroads show like this.
One thing that really stands out is how welcoming they are. I honestly believe the Sparks brothers make an effort to speak to just about everyone who shows up. You can tell they genuinely enjoy hosting the event and appreciate every person who comes out to support it.

Vilonia Car Club
Next stop was the Vilonia Car Club show.
I’ve been to this one several times over the years, so there are always familiar faces to catch up with. I didn’t get to stay very long today, but I made the rounds, grabbed some pictures and video, and talked with a few friends before heading on down the road.
And honestly, that’s a big part of what this hobby is about anyway — the people.
I didn’t count vehicles there either, but I’d estimate somewhere in the neighborhood of 50–60 cars spread across the high school parking lot.

Greenbrier Garage Group
This stop was more of a last-minute decision.
I decided to head north up Highway 65 out of Conway to catch the Greenbrier Garage Group gathering before everything wrapped up for the afternoon. Again, there were probably around 50 vehicles hanging around the lot.
I’ve only been to this one a couple of times, but it was still good getting to visit with a couple of people I knew and spend a little more time around the local car community.

Headed Home
By this point, I wasn’t very far from home, but by the time I pulled back into the driveway, I had covered roughly 170 miles for the day.
And honestly? That’s some pretty good therapy.
Just open roads, good music, springtime Arkansas scenery, and an old truck rolling down the highway. Some days that’s exactly what you need.
All three shows had solid turnouts, especially considering how many events were happening around the state today. It’s always good seeing people getting out, enjoying their vehicles, and supporting the hobby we all love.
For full coverage from all three stops — including additional pictures and video that will be shared over the next few days — head over to the StillKruzn Arkansas Facebook page and follow along with the road trip.
