Victory Car Show

Victory Car Show

Another early morning start, except this time the temperature was in the 60s and the skies were overcast. It made for a great day for a car show.

We headed toward Little Rock for the Victory Car Show, which benefits the Little Rock City Center. The City Center is run by Immanuel Baptist Church, and its mission is to help the people of Little Rock. A few of the services they provide include a food pantry, clothes closet, and dental services — all free of charge.

But before making it into Little Rock, of course, we had to stop for breakfast. We met up with some friends, had a good breakfast, and then rolled on into Little Rock.

Breakfast always makes for a good start to a car show day!

Today’s turnout was a little smaller than what we’ve been seeing lately, most likely because of the weather. The cooler temperatures and chance of rain probably kept a few people away, but I still counted somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 cars.

Even with the smaller turnout, there was still plenty of variety. I saw a couple of cars I hadn’t seen before, along with some familiar ones. I also ran into a few people I hadn’t seen in a while — which is always one of the good parts of going to a car show.

I’ve been to this show before, and it’s always been a good time. The only charge is a donation to the City Center, and each time I’ve attended, they’ve provided lunch and a really laid-back atmosphere.

I always enjoy shows like this one where you can just slow down, relax, visit with some people, look at some cars, and have a good time. Sometimes, that’s exactly what a car show should be.
