The Mission Behind StillKruzn Arkansas
Over the past few years, I've had the opportunity to meet a lot of great people through StillKruzn Arkansas. I've also had countless conversations about the website, social media pages, events, and what I'm trying to accomplish with all of it.
Some people have followed along from the beginning and understand the vision. Others may be newer to the page or website and may not know the story behind it. So, I thought it might be a good time to put that story into writing and share the mission behind StillKruzn Arkansas.
How It Started
What began in 2009 as a way to document the build of my 1931 Ford Model A has grown into StillKruzn Arkansas—a community focused on sharing events, stories, and information that support automotive enthusiasts across Arkansas and, at times, neighboring states.
Along the way, I have also been blessed with opportunities to travel across the country to attend and cover larger automotive events, allowing me to share those experiences and stories with our followers as well.
Supporting the Hobby
Before going any further, there are a couple of things I'd like to make clear.
Everything I do through StillKruzn Arkansas is driven by my passion for the automotive hobby and the community that surrounds it. I do not receive compensation for sharing events, maintaining the calendar, posting flyers, creating content, or promoting activities happening across Arkansas. My goal has never been to profit from the hobby, but rather to support it.
I also no longer host automotive events myself. While I have organized activities in the past, including a cruise last year, I've found that I enjoy attending events, supporting organizers, and helping promote the causes and communities they serve.
With the number of events taking place across Arkansas, I've decided not to host a cruise this year so I can continue focusing on supporting the many great events already happening throughout the state.
That's not to say I won't ever host another event in the future. If that day comes, it will be centered around bringing people together and enjoying the hobby, just as StillKruzn Arkansas has always been.
Why I Do It
I share all of that because I truly love this hobby. I've been involved in it for more than 30 years and have been blessed with the opportunity to share that passion through StillKruzn for over 15 years. Honestly, I can't imagine having any other hobby.
I'm not much of a sports fan. Other than a little racing and the occasional baseball game, you'll rarely find me sitting in front of the TV. I'd much rather be turning wrenches in the garage, attending a car show, or cruising down a back road somewhere.
In fact, I have a few friends who look at me a little funny when I say that—but it's true. This hobby has provided countless memories, friendships, and experiences over the years, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
More Than Cars. More Than Events. Community.
If you've read my earlier article about what "Stay Kruzn" means, then this is really the heart of that message.
StillKruzn Arkansas exists to share information, promote events, tell stories, and encourage participation in a hobby that has given so much to me and so many others over the years.
More than anything, it represents why StillKruzn Arkansas exists, what we're trying to accomplish, and what this hobby and community mean to me. It's a reminder that while cars and events may bring us together, it's the people, friendships, and shared experiences that make this community special.
With that in mind, I'd like to share the mission and vision that guide everything we do.
Our Mission
StillKruzn Arkansas exists to connect people through a shared passion for the automotive hobby by providing information, promoting events, sharing stories, and encouraging participation across Arkansas.
Our Vision
To build a stronger Arkansas automotive community where friendships are formed, information is shared, traditions are preserved, and future generations are inspired to Stay Safe, Have Fun, and Stay Kruzn.
A Community Effort
We also know that we don't have every event on our calendar. We can only share the events we know about, which is why we always appreciate organizers and enthusiasts sending us flyers, event information, and updates.
Our goal has never been to encourage people to attend one event over another. In fact, we believe every event, cruise night, Cars & Coffee gathering, charity fundraiser, and community show plays an important role in strengthening the automotive hobby.
While I may occasionally share my personal experiences from events I attend, StillKruzn Arkansas exists to help people discover opportunities to get involved, meet new friends, support worthy causes, and enjoy the hobby.
The more people who are participating in events across Arkansas, the stronger our automotive community becomes.
