Kruzn to Greers Ferry

A hot September day, 70+ cars and trucks, good friends, and a cruise through the Arkansas back roads to the Lake Model Vintage Car Show and Shine.

Kruzn to Greers Ferry

Car shows seem to be picking back up a bit in Arkansas after a couple of light weekends — something we see every year about this time because of the summer heat.

This morning, we headed toward Greers Ferry, Arkansas, for the Lake Model Vintage Car Show and Shine. Temperatures were supposed to reach around 102 degrees, with the heat index north of 110. So when more than 70 cars and trucks showed up, I was a little surprised!

There was a little bit of everything at the show today. No matter what kind of cars or trucks you like, you should have been able to find something that caught your eye.

That's one of the things I enjoy about small-town car shows — the variety.

But the cars aren't the only reason I enjoy these small-town shows. It's also getting to visit with friends we already know and meeting a few new ones along the way.

And maybe the next best thing?

Cruising the Arkansas back roads to and from the show. That's part of the fun, too.

I hope everyone had a chance to get out today, enjoy some cars, and spend a little time with friends and family.
