Fall Picks for Kruzn Season: My Top 3 Car Shows (and a Few More You Shouldn't Miss)
Fall is one of my favorite times to be out Kruzn, and over the years, I’ve hit a lot of great events. Below are my personal picks for the best fall car shows in Arkansas. These shows are well-organized, support great causes, and do a fantastic job of representing their communities.
Keep in mind—these are my opinions based on over 30 years of going to car shows. Doesn’t seem possible I’ve been doing this that long, but here we are.

#1 - 26th Annual Wheelin' and Healin' Car Show
📍 Jacksonville, AR | 📅 September 13, 2025 (Rain Date: September 20)
Hosted by the Arkansas Pontiac GMC Association, this is one of the longest-running shows in the state. I’ve seen it move around to a few different venues over the years, and while my favorite was Lake Willastein Park in Maumelle, their current location in Jacksonville works well.
The event is now held at Goodsell Truck Accessories and Gwatney Performance, using the surrounding farmers market and community center lots. They typically draw 250+ vehicles and raise funds for the Jacksonville Animal Shelter—a great cause.
If you're looking for a large show with a strong turnout and good vibes, mark this one on your calendar.
#2 - 9th Annual Charlie Johnson Memorial Car Show
📍 Heber Springs, AR | 📅 October 18, 2025
The scenic backroads to Heber Springs make this one worth the trip by themselves. Hosted by the Tumbling Shoals and Ida Fire Departments, this show raises money to provide scholarships for the children and grandchildren of first responders.
Held at the Heber Springs Community Center, this event stands out with its unique awards and door prizes. Plus, you’ll find pulled pork, catfish, fries, hamburgers, and hot dogs all available for lunch—at very reasonable prices.
It’s a well-run, well-supported show that honors the memory of a dedicated firefighter and gives back in a meaningful way.
#3 - Pottsville Falls Fest Car Show
📍 Pottsville, AR | 📅 November 1, 2025
This one impressed me last year, and I’ll likely be headed back. Hosted by the Tri-County Cruisers, it takes place in historic downtown Pottsville, where the streets make for a great car show backdrop.
Proceeds go toward restoring the 1880s Falls & Sinclair Mercantile Building, which is being turned into a community center. Expect a wide range of vehicles and small-town charm in full force.
Honorable Mentions
These events didn’t crack the top three, but I’ve attended them in the past and highly recommend checking them out:

24th Annual Dad's Ole Car Show and Parade
📍 North Little Rock, AR | 📅 November 2, 2025
Held at the Towbin Healthcare Center, this event gives veteran patients, visitors, and staff a chance to enjoy the cars up close. Hosted by the Arkansas Pontiac GMC Association, it includes free snacks, drinks, and a parade/cruise through campus.
It’s a feel-good event with a meaningful purpose. I’ve attended a couple times, though I’m often tied up on Sundays—if you’re free, it’s one to support.
24th Annual Show & Shine At Cabot Fest
📍 Cabot, AR | 📅 October 11, 2025
Hosted by the Christian Car Club, this long-standing event features a mix of old and new rides, set right in the middle of Cabot Fest. It’s held in the First Security Bank parking lot, which gives you quick access to all the festival fun surrounding it.
Rod Run to the Lake - Arkansas Street Rod Association
📍 Lake DeGray State Park | 📅 October 10–11, 2025
This year, the Arkansas Street Rod Association is bringing this event back to life. Held at Lake DeGray, it’s a gorgeous venue that makes the trip worth it even without a trophy.
The show is open to pre-1988 vehicles, but those under age 29 can enter cars up to 2002. No door prizes or trophies here—just good company, games, and giving back to the participants. Rooms are discounted if you want to stay overnight.
Wrap-Up
There you have it—my fall favorites. I’ve attended each of these shows over the years and wouldn’t hesitate to go back to any one of them. Whether it’s supporting a worthy cause, enjoying the scenery, or just spending time with great people and cool cars… that’s what this season is all about.
Stay cool, stay safe, and Keep Kruzn.
