Most of us have a project sitting halfway done — life got busy, money ran out, or the motivation just disappeared. We meant to come back to it. We really did.

I’ll get to it next winter.
I’ll get to it when the kids are grown.

And somehow… we never do.

Tomorrow Keeps Getting Pushed Back

There’s a phrase I say often when talking with people about life — and you’ve probably heard it before:

We aren’t guaranteed tomorrow.
None of us are.

Yet we live like we are.

We put things off:

  • Making things right with that friend or family member
  • Saying what needs to be said
  • Spending time with the people who actually matter

Not because we don’t care — but because we assume there will be more time.

Delay Is a Gamble

In the car world, we know how this goes. That project sits long enough and parts get misplaced. Plans fade. Eventually, the excitement that once drove it just isn’t there anymore.

Life works the same way.

Whether it’s getting back to that bucket-list build or picking up the phone and fixing something that’s been broken for years, delay always feels harmless — until it isn’t.

Tomorrow isn’t promised. And postponing what matters most is a gamble none of us can afford.

Final Thought

None of us are guaranteed tomorrow.
So don’t save the important stuff for later.

Later has a habit of not showing up.
