Turn the Key… Nothing

You ever get in your vehicle—old or new—turn the key (or push the button), and… nothing?

No lights on the dash.
No click from the starter.
Just silence.

Where Do You Start?

Now what?

Do you start with the battery?
Check the starter?
Maybe a relay… or a fuse?

You know it just ran. Everything should be fine.
But here you are—confused, maybe a little frustrated… maybe even a little mad.

So you start checking things.
Maybe even replacing parts.

And still… nothing.

At some point, you just stand there staring at it, wondering where to even go next.
And if you’re being honest… you really don’t want to take it to a mechanic.

Trying to Fix It Yourself

Funny how life can feel the same way sometimes.

Things were running fine… and then suddenly, they’re not.

Loss.
Strained relationships.
Job struggles.
Moments that just don’t make sense.

And just like that car… you start trying to figure it out on your own.

Where do I start?
What am I missing?
Why isn’t this working?

I’ll be honest—my first instinct isn’t always to turn where I should.
I try to fix things myself. Try to piece it together. Try to figure it out.

And sometimes… that just doesn’t work.

When Life Feels the Same

Because until I turn to the One who can actually fix it, those same feelings stick around.

Confusion.
Frustration.
Anger.
Doubt.

They don’t just disappear on their own.

But when I finally slow down, turn it over to Him, and pray—really pray—and put it in His hands…

That’s when things start to change.

Not always instantly. Not always the way I expect.
But the weight starts to lift.

Turning It Over

I’ll admit… that’s not always easy for me.

Letting go.
Giving up control.
Trusting the process.

Sometimes I get there a little slower than I should.

But I get there.

So whether you’re chasing an issue under the hood…
or dealing with something a whole lot heavier in life…

Maybe the answer isn’t tearing into everything trying to fix it yourself.

Maybe it’s taking a step back…
and turning it over to the One who already knows what’s wrong—and how to fix it.

You might be surprised how much lighter things feel when you do.
