We were back at it this weekend—another car show, another scorcher in the Arkansas heat! This time, the road took us to El Paso, AR for the Down South Car Show, now in its second year. This event isn’t just about cool cars and hot pavement—it supports The CALL, an incredible organization helping foster children across the state of Arkansas.

A Show with Heart
Despite the heat, the turnout was impressive with nearly 80 vehicles registered. It was one of those great local shows where you’ll find a little bit of everything—classic muscle, modern builds, imports, and everything in between. A true reflection of Arkansas car culture: diverse, welcoming, and proud.

Since this is only their second year hosting the event, the organizers are still learning the ropes—but what stood out most is that they’re actively listening to participants and seeking suggestions for improvement. That kind of openness and community-minded approach is how great shows are built, and I’m sure next year’s will be even better.

Why This One Mattered
The CALL isn’t just another charity—it’s a mission close to my heart. This organization works tirelessly to support foster families and help children in need find safe, loving homes. I attended this show not just for the cars, but to stand behind a cause I believe in. Two of my nephews were adopted through The CALL, so I’ve seen firsthand the impact they can make. That’s why supporting events like this is a no-brainer.
Wrapping It Up
Great cars. Good people. A cause worth supporting. Even under the blazing Arkansas sun, it was a day well spent. If you missed this year’s Down South Car Show, be sure to keep it on your radar for next time. It’s only getting better from here.
Until next time—stay cool and keep Kruzn!
