There has been a lot of talk in our area (Central Arkansas) about car shows that their dates are overlapping, meaning multiple shows in say a 50 mile radius. When shows are that close, some people would like to attend but there are more than one that they would like to attend. So some shows could be losing out on some of their revenue.
It has been suggested that show organizers look at the flyers from the previous year and get in contact with other shows on the same day and see if there is a reason that one of them can't move a week or two, to alleviate some of these overlaps. While I totally agree with this, some shows are tied to dates because they part of another event (festivals, fairs, etc.).
With that said, I decided to put some of my mapping skills to use and create some maps with the shows show for each city by date. Keep in mind, that the pins on these maps are not that actual location, they are the city they are located in.
To view the shows for a specific date, click on the button on the upper left corner of the map window. See image below....

The you can select the dates you want to see my clicking the check mark next to the date. If you see the check mark, that dates shows are shown on map. Once you select the date(s) you want to see, click back into the map to view the points. You can also view full screen by clicking the button in the upper right corner. See image below.

Unfortunately, Google won't let me put all months on the same map. They limit me to 10 layers in the map, so I divided the dates up to what made sense to me.
The reason for doing this, is I am more of a visual person and need to see the dates/locations on the map. This helped me understand the overlap a little better. Hope it helps you also...
March - April
May - June
July - September
October - November
Now, if you are more of a numbers person, let's look at those also. I have listed the number of shows by date. Some of the shows are multiple days, so I listed them with the Saturday of the event.

And, here are the number and percentage of shows for each month, based on 105 car shows as of March 14, 2025.

So, as you can see, over 50% of the car shows in Arkansas are in April and May. The remainder of the year is pretty slim.
This was not done to try to force anyone to change the date of their event. Just to provide a visual representation of where/when car shows are happening in Arkansas. But, if it drops a thought in an organizers head, that we might do better on a different weekend, the so be it.
I have gotten away from hosting events in part of this, but for other reasons too. I am just trying to help others promote their shows using my skills in building this website and what I have learned to promote via social media.
My hope is that someone finds this information useful in the future. If you have any questions or comments, drop them in the comments form the post on my FB page.
