While this ’32 Ford is a relatively new build, the man behind it is no stranger to the hobby. Harvey Perry has been part of the hot rod world for decades, and this car is just the latest chapter in his long-running automotive journey.

Originally from California and now living in Alexander, Arkansas, Harvey has owned this particular car for about 4½ years. What started as a ground-up project is now a head-turning machine with a strong personal story behind it.

A Life Fueled by Passion

Harvey’s love of cars began back in the 1960s, when his uncle took him to his first show—The Oakland Roadster Show, back when it was still held in the old Quonset huts. That day, Harvey told his uncle he would have a car in that show one day—and in 1994, he made it happen.

He got his start in stock car racing on the dirt tracks of Northern California. But with a young family, he eventually traded the race car for a new goal—his first hot rod build.

Fast forward to today, and his ’32 Ford Sedan has been on the road for just over a year. In that time, he’s already driven it on two trips to California, and it’s been to five National Street Rod Association events, earning seven awards along the way.

Under the Hood and Beyond

This eye-catching sedan is powered by a 2008 6.2L LS3 paired with a Holley Sniper intake and throttle bodystage 2 cam, and a 4L60 transmission feeding into a 10-bolt Chevy rear end with 3.00 gears.

Supporting components include:

  • Stainless IFS with coilovers
  • Hooker headers
  • Walker Cobra radiator
  • Wilwood brakes
  • Vintage Air
  • And a long list of finishing touches that make this car show-ready

It also features a 3-inch roof chop, a flush-mount windshield, and countless details that make it stand out.

A Bold Look with a Personal Touch

Harvey did all the bodywork himself, while the PPG M&M Orange paint was sprayed by Jim Sullivan at Drop It Conversions. That same bold orange also covers the rear end, suspension, steering column, and other detailed parts.

The interior features Finesse Leather over seats sourced from Bowen Fabrics in Houston, TX. The custom interior design and stitching were done by Jerry Mann in Haskell, AR.

More Than One Build

This isn’t Harvey’s first rodeo—he’s built and owned a long list of vehicles over the years, including:

  • 1933 Dodge 4-Door Sedan
  • 1934 Ford Sedan Delivery
  • 1929 Ford 2-Door Sedan HiBoy
  • 1946 & 1947 Ford Convertibles
  • 1939 Ford Woody Wagon
  • Several Chevy C10 trucksFord Broncos, and 1932 Fords

Hard to Miss

Someone recently told Harvey, “Painting a car that color is a commitment.” And they weren’t wrong. This bright M&M Orange is bold, loud, and impossible to miss—you can spot it from a mile away, and that’s exactly the point.

If you catch Harvey and his ’32 at a show, don’t just walk by—stop and take a look. You’ll quickly see why it’s this month’s Feature Car on StillKruzn Arkansas.
