Today I attended the Arkansas Statewide Car Clubs Meeting, like I do every year. If you’re not familiar with it, this meeting brings together car clubs and car show organizers from all across Arkansas to share information about upcoming events and connect with others who are working to keep the hobby going strong. I hosted this event myself in years past, but handed that responsibility off a couple of years ago.
I also had the honor of speaking during the meeting on a couple of different topics. The first was the NSRA Safety Program. As most of you know, that is something I care deeply about, so it was a real privilege to recognize the Arkansas Safety Team for being one of the top teams in the nation — and not just in the top ten, but ranked #2.
After that, I had the chance to talk about another passion of mine, StillKruzn Arkansas. One thing I shared is that I’ve always hoped to see a real community built around it. Truth be told, I believe that community is already here.
When I say community, I mean a group of like-minded people who support one another, encourage one another, and enjoy being together. That’s what I believe this hobby should be about. Sure, the cars are what bring us together, but the people are what make it matter.
That’s exactly what I want to see for everyone who follows StillKruzn Arkansas — and really for car folks in general. In my experience, car people can be some of the most generous, helpful, and genuine people you’ll ever meet.
If you want to be part of that, go follow StillKruzn Arkansas on Facebook, keep checking the website for new content, and share it when you see something worth passing along. Go support your local car shows, as well as the regional and national events. But most importantly, support the people. They are the heart of this community. Without the people, it’s just a parking lot.
