Keeping with my theme of going to car shows that I haven't been too before, we spent about 5 hrs of driving and traveled almost 300 miles today to Marion, AR for the Delta Cruisers 19th Annual Car Show. And, we were able to stay off the interstate, except for about 25 miles of I-57. We took Hwy 64 over and back, so that made for a nice drive.

This one did not disappoint. Getting to see some cars and trucks that I haven't seen before, not to mention getting to hang out with some really good friends, some that I don't see too often. And for me, getting hang out with friends is what it's all about.

I never really heard a hard number of cars registered, but looking at the parking lot, I would guess somewhere between 80 and 100 cars and trucks. The vehicles were from Arkansas, Tennesse, Missouri, and Mississippi. Marion, AR is just north of Memphis along I-55, so it pulls quite a few from the surrounding area.

A couple of things different about this show, is they don't just give away trophies. They draw names and give cash prizes back to the participants. They also have some really nice door prizes and a few trophies that they give out in memory of former members. The other trophies given out are picked out by club members.

Although it was a long day, it so worth the almost 300 miles and the hours driven to go to this show. Highly recommend and if you ever in the mood for a different show, you should check this one out.
